Lou founded The Strategic Talent Group, Inc. to provide clients with consulting services tailored to enhancing senior executives’ ability to lead in the execution of strategy. He has delivered leadership development services to senior executives at Fortune 500 client companies, as well as to clients at small, entrepreneurial firms, in an array of industries. In addition, Lou has worked with Boards of Directors and CEO’s in evaluating the effectiveness of the Board, its Committees, the CEO, and the Senior Executive Team.
Recent STG clients include Airbus, Allergan, American Capital, Capital One, Carmax, First Energy, ICF International, ICMA-RC, GFI Ventures, Medtronic, Mesa Air Group, Quanta Services and The Society for Human Resource Management.
Prior to founding STG, Lou's career included senior corporate executive roles responsible for human resources at two public companies, Columbia Energy Group and Applied Power, Inc. (Name subsequently changed to Actuant), where he successfully worked directly for CEOs and with Boards of Directors and other senior executives on strategic talent management issues.
A major portion of his prior career was at General Electric Company in executive and managerial human resources roles where key responsibilities included succession management and identifying and developing high-potential talent for a number of business units. In 30 years of corporate experience, Lou has performed strategic talent management work throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Lou is a member of the Human Resources Leadership Forum and the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He has authored articles on Executive Assessment and Succession, spoken at national conferences on Leadership Development, served as a guest lecturer on talent management at various universities, and is on the Board of Visitors of the Business School at Marymount University in Arlington, VA.
The Strategic Talent Group is based in the Washington DC Metro area, and has offices in Philadelphia, PA and Charlotte, NC.
